Key topics
The 19 research projects of NRP 71 will run for approximately four years, as part of the following four modules.
The main focus of NRP 71 is on social, economic and political issues that largely concern energy demand. The programme studies how private households, social groups, companies, public institutions and organisations can realise energy efficiency and sufficiency potentials through steering measures. It is also intended to examine how energy suppliers can be encouraged through suitable measures, including official regulations, to develop business models that incorporate incentives to use energy economically.
NRP 71 generates know-how to support municipalities, the cantons, the federal government and energy suppliers in their efforts to promote the utilisation of efficiency and sufficiency potentials. In so doing, NRP 71 develops practice-oriented scientific principles for discussing the implementation of the change in energy strategy.
